Known as the Sunshine State, Queensland enjoys about 300 days of sunshine each year. A little more than half of Queensland is in the tropical zone, including Brisbane. Queensland is also home to the cities of Townsville and Cairns. The climate is quite temperate and draws people from all over. The high averages around 25ºC with a low near 15ºC.
